Our Instructors

William Nehlsen's journey in traditional karate began in 1997 under Fumio Demura's organization Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Genbu-Kai International’s guidance. Dedicated and passionate, he attained his Junior Black Belt (Jr. Shodan) in 2004, followed by Shodan (1st Degree) in 2010, Nidan (2ndDegree) in 2014, and Sandan (3rd Degree) in 2018. He also holds Sandan (3rd Degree) in Kobudo (Okinawan Weapons). He is an accomplished competitor traveling to multiple states to compete at the highest levels. As a skilled competitor, he holds titles in various tournaments, such as a AAU and NKF Jr. state champion and AAU Jr. National Medalist. Transitioning into a full time instructor in 2016, he shares his dedication and passion with his students, inspiring them not only to excel in karate but also to become the best they can be within their entire community.
